Digital Video Interface (DVI) is the standard connector for computers and LCD monitors. DVI has two sections to the specification, analog which is the same signals as a VGA connection and digital for higher resolution and clearer pictures. This cable connects an analog RGB video device (VGA) with an analog DVI LCD monitor or an analog DVI video card with a VGA monitor.
